Register Now for ECWCA 2013

Clarion University is proud to host the East Central Writing Center Association’s 2013 conference, “Writing/Commons,” on April 12-13, 2013.

The conference’s featured speaker, Frankie Condon, is Associate Professor of English and Faculty Coordinator of the Writing Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She’s also a Clarion alum. Her talk will focus on the gift economy and the cultivation of the commons.

Clarion, PA is conveniently located at Exit 62 of Interstate 80, about an hour and a half northeast of Pittsburgh. The town is near Cook Forest State Park and is a gateway to the Pennsylvania Wilds region.

The local Housing Committee has reserved blocks of rooms at the Holiday Inn, The Quality Inn, and the Comfort Inn. All are located near the Interstate, about two miles from campus. Prices range from about $55-$70. When you call to book your room, mention ECWCA to receive the conference rate.

Your conference registration fee includes the Friday evening meal and speaker. Early registration closes on March 31, 2013:
